Odyssey was able to provide an academic curriculum that made our kids better students, and wiser people, without burdening them with busy work or endless piles of homework.

Before my son arrived at Odyssey he was an unmotivated student who required a huge amount of parental effort to get him to do his homework. After graduating Odyssey his first goal was to take geometry during the summer so that he would be able to take accelerated math in high school. The teachers at Odyssey were inspirational for my son.

The Odyssey faculty excels at understanding the personality, learning style, academic strengths, and academic weaknesses (aka poor study skills) of each child.

Odyssey inspires independent success through accelerated academics and expeditionary learning.

The Odyssey assignments consistently encourage the students to think and to learn how to learn. Befitting our modern internet-connected world, they focus on teaching skills, critical thinking, and creativity.

Odyssey kids support each other and encourage each other to become the best versions of themselves.

Odyssey succeeds at combining academics, the expeditionary program, exposure to Japanese language and culture, and multiple forms of art and exercise into a cohesive program focused on helping the students grow from dependent children into independent young adults.

Both of my Odyssians faced high school challenges with tenacity, courage, creativity, and optimism – qualities developed and nurtured during their years at Odyssey.

Academically, Odyssey prepared my son well because the school didn’t just teach the subjects but heavily emphasized on critical thinking. Socially, he became more independent and confident after his three years of expeditions and the final trip to Japan. All of these experiences taught him resilience and determination and got him ready for high school.

A false start at our local school left our son both underwhelmed and overwhelmed. Within the safety of the Odyssey community, he transformed. He rose to every challenge and emerged an accomplished, confident, capable young man. Now, he fully embraces the idea that his education really is his Odyssey.

I am a huge fan of the education my son received at Odyssey.

Odyssey helped my kids know themselves well, which made them less susceptible to negative peer pressure later.
